Megatron, Cyborg-Battle Ready

Imagine this as a Gi Joe Action Figure!!! Awesome!!


The Premise goes like this..

The Autobots and Decepticons are being hunted relentlessly by the worlds organized efforts, which in turn has made the Cybertronians go into hiding more so then ever.. even Megatron's plans are being thwarted by humans of all things..in a desperate play to gain the upper hand, Megatron invents Virus X-91. A cybertronian techno-virus capable of destroying the internal workings of a Transformer, thus rendering them deceased.. forever..

This plan backfires with ALL the Transformers on Earth in peril.

A scientist in the eastern Alps has created a super powerful cyborg prototype that both the Autobots and Decepticons seek.. once found they both steal the only 2 prototypes in existence..

Duplicating the technology and improving on the design, megatron finds a way to hibernate their Original forms in stasis while transferring their Sparks into the Cyborg Bodies.. thus giving them Human appearances.. and allowing them to continue to find ways to plunder Earth's energy resources..while they work to find a cure for the disease.. but a side effect of the Prototype has made the bots based on that design into Energy vampires, and Megatron and the other decepticons now in human form must feed endlessly to live...

Like wise on the Autobot's side Ratchet has found the weakness in the prototype design and with the aide of that scientist have developed a cure and have also transfered their Spark into those cyborg Bodies..all while secretly under the Protection of America's super powered Military Gi Joe!!

Megatron has secretly infiltrated Cobra, and is seeking to use their resources to conquer the world and plunder the worlds energy resources...

It would be and could be a really interesting small side story, which in the end they end up with their old bodies.. or let's look at it as if they fought in the Cyborg bodies for a time, then the Doctor scientist who built them turned out to be Dr. Mindbender in disguise and had a secret chip installed in the Cyborg bodies to use them for control.. then after the Joes defeated Mindbender's scheme, they helped the Transformers transfer their sparks to Gi Joe and Cobra Vehicles, thus producing those vehicles in the story line, before finally gaining their real Generation one bodies back..

that could work.. and as a Cross over Toyline, you could have figures for the Joe collector, and Figures for the Transformer collector... and as for those who do both.. well they'd be in heaven

Why not have the idea done in reverse for joe fans as well.. plus think of the IDW stories and Such... it'd be wildly cool.. imagine that Megatron Cyborg the size of a Normal Human picking up a large armored truck and slamming it down on a Human sized Optimus Prime in a down town city scape.. they'd be like super powered Joes.. and the cobra and Gi Joe connection would be crazy.. especially with how treacherous Starscream could be in Human form...I can see him teaming up with the Tomax and Xamot twins..

Megatron:

Battle Mask, why should Optimus be the only one who gets one.. so I figured, like the samurai of old Japan, Megatron has a Metal mask complete with red visor, which covers his eyes, and when in his battle mode, simulates his original face.. metallic and scary.. plus I can imagine Megatron looking at his reflection, longing for his original body back and the cure realized..Megatron hates looking Human!

So with the design of this character I wanted to point out a few of the reasonings behind this design:

Starting with Megatron's face, I wanted him to have that old weathered and craggy look, with a scary inhuman brow.. the eyes for these Human Transformers would be beady little red glowing eyes for Decepticons and Bright glowing Blue for Autobots..

the idea is that in the Dark their eyes glow and that is how you can really tell they aren't Human..his legs are encased in an armor like material.. like power armor..I wanted to mirror the bulky big legs that the bot had, and the side pieces next to his hips, so with that I figured he could have a Gun and some pocket packs.. plus the military type armor on his upper body.. with the Decepticon symbol in it.. I kinda figured he'd be like a demolitions expert or something, and would infiltrate cobra, defeat cobra commander and usurp the leadership role.. wouldn't that be cool.


I didn't want Megatron to look like he was in power armor, because then he'd just be a glorified Robot, and not a Human, Cobra/Gi Joe type of figure.. the less armor and the more human the gear and clothing the more like a Gi Joe he could be.. it's a definitely different take on our favorite characters thats for sure..

the Costumes for these guys are loosely based on existing Armor, and clothing, with Gi Joe stylings.. and a Bit of that Old Marvel Comics 80s transformers and Gi Joe influences.. overall I'd love to see toys of these designs made.. I'll keep posting more images of Characters as I finish..

His back pack is the generator, and his arm has connections so that when equipped with the backpack the arm canon can fire a fusion blast.. and there is a Laser sight on the outer side of the canon details..
